Oh, Happy Day - card

This card was made for the current {My Favorite Things} sketch challenge over on SplitCoastStampers:

I used the Pure Innocence - Because You're Special stamp image and colored her with Copic markers. The sentiment was computer generated with the font titled "Xerography". The DP's are from from Raspberry Road Designs "Summer Goodness" set.

{ANYONE FOR ANYA} Sunday Challenge

Hiya, folks!  It's Sunday -- time for a new challenge at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}.  This week, we want you to make something SUPER GIRLY!  I don't think anyone will have a problem doing that...  :)  Be sure to use a stamp/digi image from THE GREETING FARM or C.C.DESIGNS to play along.

For my DT inspiration card I used a stamp from The Greeting Farm's Dressy Anya set:

I love making her hair awesome with different colors.  Doesn't she look sweet?  Totally girly.  :)  The DP's are from Recollections and K+Company.  I paper-pieced her dress and socks and colored her up with Copics.  The SWEET sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  The ribbon is from The Ribbon Carousel.

Be sure to stop by {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} this week to see the DT inspiration projects and to play along!

Your Travels... card

I recently won a new digi image from {MILK COFFEE} and I was thrilled because I was dying to get one of the newest images, Lisbeth On A Swing:

Tra-la-la, she is so cute!  Check out the little bird dude in the middle, struggling to hold her up.  :)  I found the clear sentiment stamp in the dollar bin at Joann's a few months back, but I can't remember who makes it.  All the paper is from Recollections.  The twine, flower and button are from my stash.

{Feel Better Soon} - card

The current {Farm Fresh Friday} challenge over at {THE GREETING FARM} is to make a project with NO COLORING!  Goodness me, that's difficult.  Even when I paper-piece an image, I still color some bits.  I guess that's the purpose of a challenge, eh?  Step out of your comfort zone and try something new.  :)

So, instead of coloring my image with Copics, I decided to do some heat-embossing:

This is CUDDLE ANYA from {The Greeting Farm}.  I stamped her with clear VersaMark ink and added aqua colored embossing powder.  I then heat set it with a heat gun.  I layered her onto card stocks from Recollections and K+Company. I used my Martha Stewart Around-The-Page punch on one side.  The sentiment stamp is from PapertreyInk.  The aqua grosgrain ribbon and flowers are from my stash.

Kisses + Cuddles - card

Lately, I've been trying to get all of my rubber and digi stamps inked up and printed at least once... I've got so many digi's, it's crazy!  But, I love them and I'm sure I'll be collecting more soon.  :)

For my card today, I used an adorable little sock monkey digi from {Bugaboo Stamps}:

I printed the sentiment myself in Paint.  I printed them on white Cryogen Iridescent card stock and colored them with Copics. I used my BG10 Copic marker around the monkey and the words, but it's a bit washed out in the photo. It's so hard to get a good photo late at night but what can you do?  Not stress about it, that's what. :)   The DP's are from Colorbok and K+Company.  The ribbon is from The Ribbon Carousel.

A {TIDDLY TUESDAY} Challenge

We've got another challenge up today over at the {TIDDLY INKS CHALLENGE BLOG}!  We want to say THANK YOU to everyone for playing along with us this whole month during the Tiddly Inks 2nd birthday celebration.  We want to see what crafty creations you can come up with using a Tiddly Inks image and a THANK YOU theme.

For my card, I used little Wryn from Wryn - Heartfelt Love along with one of the newly released frames.  Both can be found in the {TIDDLY INKS SHOP}. I mixed the two digi images together and added a THANK YOU sentiment in Paint before printing her out.   I printed her onto Cryogen Iridescent card stock and colored her with Copics.  Her dress and shoes were left white, but have stardust Stickles all over -- she's sparkly! The DP's are from DCWV.  I made the paper rosette with the Tim Holtz rosette die.

Check out the {TIDDLY INKS CHALLENGE BLOG} to see all of the design team creations and to play along. Be sure to stop by {CHRISTY'S BLOG} as well to see her two new images!  They are pretty dang cute, if you ask me.  :) Pin It

Just For You - a {Milk Coffee} card

Have you heard of the adorable digi stamp company called {MILK COFFEE}?  If not, let me introduce you to one of their newest images!  This is {Lisbeth} and she loves her sunflower:

Isn't she the sweetest?  All of the {MILK COFFEE} images are so cute.  I'm quickly falling in love with all of them!  :)

I printed out this digi image on Cryogen Iridescent card stock and colored her with Copics.  The DP's are from K+Company and the card stocks are from my stash.  The scallop punch is from Martha Stewart Crafts. The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink.  The gorgeous shimmer ribbon is from {The Ribbon Carousel} ... my new favorite ribbon shop!

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} Sunday Challenge

Hello everyone!  It's Sunday again, so that means a fun, new challenge is going up over at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}.  This week, the theme is to be MUSICALLY INSPIRED!  We want to see what you can come up with that is musical.  Be sure to use an image from The Greeting Farm or C.C.Designs to play along.

This week, I used my Princess Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm.  I colored her with Copics and paper-pieced her clothes. Her wand has stardust Stickles on it, so it sparkles like a wand should. :)  I found some old music sheet paper that I've had for a while and cut out a scalloped circle with my Nestabilities die. I inked around the edges with tea dye distress ink.  My newest purchase is the Martha Stewart Punch-Around-The-Page set, which I love.  The black + white card stocks are from Recollections and the gold ribbon is from my stash.

Be sure to check out the {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} challenge blog this week to see the design team creations and to play along!  :) Pin It

Bonjour, Mimi!

I've got another one of my adorable Penny Black stamps to show you this morning.  It's called Bonjour! and features little Mimi, of course.  :)

I paired her up with some older purple, green and black papers from DCWV and light purple and white card stock from Recollections. Bonjour Mimi is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cryogen Irridescent card stock.  I colored her with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen.  The "Hello" sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink and the ribbon is from my stash.  I machine-stitched around the edges with dark purple thread for extra detail.

I made this card with the current "Sketch For You To Try" over at {I HEART 2 STAMP}.  It's a great, simple sketch that can be used in so many ways.  I decided to follow it as it was presented: Pin It

A Big Bunch Of Spring Love - card

I've been playing with more of my Penny Black stamps today.  This one is called "Mimi - Easy Rider"  and she's just the cutest!  I would love to ride bikes with her.  :)

I colored her with my Copics and used Spring colors and flowers for the {iCopic Weekly Challenge Blog} and the {Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog}.  The DP is from K+Company.  The sentiment stamp is also Penny Black, but the sentiment frame is from Some Odd Girl.  The flowers, brads and ribbon are from my stash.

Happy Monday, friends! Pin It

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} - Sunday Challenge

Time for another challenge at the {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} challenge blog!  This week, we have a SKETCH CHALLENGE.  Sketches are always a great inspiration for me.  They don't have to be exact, just get inspired by the sketch and follow it as closely as possible.

That's how my DT contribution came together this week:

I used a stamp from the Miss Anya Dressy set by The Greeting Farm, along with DP by DCWV.  The "THANKS" sentiment is from PapertreyInk's Mat Stack 3 set.  The buttons and twine are from my stash.   I stamped Miss Anya onto Cryogen Iridescent card stock.  Her dress, socks and shoes were paper-pieced with the same background DP.  The rest was colored with the following Copics:

Hop on over to {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} to play along!  Just be sure to use an image from The Greeting Farm or C. C. Designs.  Want to see the sketch?  Here you go!  Be inspired.   :)

Don't you just love Penny Black stamps?  I do!  They are adorable!  Little Mimi (on the left) is my favorite character.  I've got a little stash of Penny Black stamps that I'll be trying to ink up more often. They make me happy.  :)

This stamp is titled "Mimi + Friend". The papers are from K+Company and Recollections.  The sentiment stamp is from Some Odd Girl's "Gwen In Bloom" set.  The flowers, ribbon and brads are from my stash.  I colored the image with these Copic markers:

TIDDLY TUESDAY - A Tiddly Inks CHALLENGE!

Hey there!  It's Tuesday, that means after all of the fun we had last week with the {TIDDLY INKS} release and birthday celebration, it's time for the bi-weekly challenge on the {TIDDLY INKS CHALLENGE BLOG}!

The challenge for this week is to try to incorporate the number 2 into your project (since Tiddly Inks just turned 2!)  and also to get inspiration from this photo:

Isn't that a great photo?  I would love to have that umbrella.  There's so much you can do with this challenge!  Be sure to check out the {TIDDLY INKS CHALLENGE BLOG} to see the rest of the DT creations and to play along.  Keep an eye on Christy's {TIDDLY INKS} blog as well, since there will be cool stuff posted all month long.  :)  Don't forget to visit the TIDDLY INKS SHOP to get loaded up on all of the new Wryn's! Thinking Of You - card

I know what you are probably thinking...

Hey Annie, all of your cards are colored the same way!  Why don't you mix it up a bit, silly girl?

heh heh...  well, I'd love to.  But, you see, I only have a limited amount of Copic markers so every color gets used often.  I'm researching to find the next set of colors to buy, in lighter shades that will still go along with the ones I have.  They are quite the investment, aren't they?  But I love my Copics!  If anyone has any favorite lighter-color Copic color combinations that you just love, let me know!  I'm looking for some softer yellows for hair coloring and softer pinks and blues. Maybe some greens, too.

Have I mentioned I've been coloring all this week without any colorless blender?  I'm completely out! Ack!  How dangerous and adventurous am I?  :)

Isn't this little crawling gal adorable? She was a freebie digi image (awesome!) from {MILK COFFEE} and I totally fell in love with her.

I inked her up with Copics and added a few highlights with a white gel pen.  I cut out the card shape with the scalloped square nestabilities die.  The DP's are from DCWV and K+Company.  The flowers and twine are from my stash.  The sentiment and sentiment frame are from the Some Odd Girl clear stamp set called "Sweet Thinkin' Mae".

I'm entering her into the following challenges:

{MILK COFFEE CHALLENGE BLOG} - Throw On Those Flowers
{SIMON SAYS STAMP CHALLENGE BLOG} - Favorite tool - Big Shot!

Bloom + Grow - card

The April challenge over at {SOME ODD GIRL} is a color inspiration challenge.  I chose to use stamps from both of my new SOG clear stamp sets for this one:

Gwen and the sentiment are from the "Gwen In Bloom" clear set and the sentiment frame is from the "Sweet Thinkin' Mae" set.  Have you purchased clear stamp sets from Some Odd Girl?  The quality is amazing!  The coverage is smooth and solid.  I am so happy with mine.  :)

The DP I used is from K+Company's Raspberry Fizz set (surprise, surprise, I know... )  the card stock is from Recollections.  The grosgrain ribbon is from my stash.  I love how Gwen is looking over her shoulder... so sweet.  There is some light blue coloring all around her, but it wouldn't show up in any photo I took.  I would love to have an airbrush or light blue ink pad to make an awesome cloud background that I always see.  Those are cool!

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} - Photo Inspiration

Happy Easter, everyone!  Hope you all have a nice day planned, no matter how you celebrate.  The Mister and I will be having a delicious dinner with family and will be eating lots of candy, I'm sure.  :)

Today, being Sunday, means we have a new photo inspiration challenge for you over at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}!  Be sure to check out the blog to see our design team creations and to play along!  There's always a great prize for the winner and bragging rights for the top three.  Can't beat that!

This might be my most favorite card I've made, yet!  There's just something about it that draws me in.  Plus, she's looking extra anime-ish, which is awesome.   I used the C. C. Designs "PARTY TIME LUCY" digi stamp, along with a vintage butterfly image that I found at {Free Vintage Digital Stamps}.  I colored the images with Copics.  The DT is from Colorbok and the card stock is from Recollections.  The "KISSES" sentiment is from a Penny Black set called "Mimi + Miles".  I thought it went well with the butterfly...  :)

The photo chosen for your bit of inspiration this week is:

As you can see, there could be a ton of different ways for you to gain inspiration -- the colors, the bees, the honeycomb, an insect theme, anything.  Just be sure to use an image from C. C. Designs or The Greeting Farm to link up.  Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge - Forest Fairies

As the title indicates, I made this ATC (Artist Trading Card) for the current challenge over at the {WICKED WEDNESDAY ATC CHALLENGE BLOG}.

The theme for this challenge is "FOREST FAIRIES + WOODLAND NYMPHS" and is sponsored by All That Scaps (yay!).  It was only fitting to use this adorable "PIXIE LUCY" digi by C. C. Designs.  I love her!  ATC's are so quick to put together and I love the small size.  I also love my new teeny, tiny easel.  Hee hee!

The papers I used are from K+Company's Raspberry Fizz collection.  Sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink's Friendship Jar stamp set.  The flower, button and twine are from my stash.  I colored little Lucy with Copics, highlighted some spots with a while gel pen and added Stardust Stickles to her fairy wings.  She sparkles!  :) Pin It

{FRAME THE MOMENT} with Tiddly Inks - Day 5

Get ready for more {TIDDLY INKS} cuteness!  Today's release image is WRYN - PICK UP STICKS:

All together now.... AWW!  What a cutie.  This image also comes with extras -- the stick sentiment, another "I {heart} U" stick sentiment and a darling little campfire.  Everything you need to complete a project!  I had a fun time with this one.  I used a bunch of items that I've had in my stash for a while and I have no idea where they came from.  I do know that the wood grain and the tree border stamps are from American Crafts. Perfect for this outdoors-y gal!

{Frame The Moment} with TIDDLY INKS - Day 3

The newest {TIDDLY INKS} image being showcased today on the {TIDDLY INKS BLOG} is WRYN - HANGING OUT:
She is my favorite new image from the release! How much fun is she having?  I'm a little jealous.  Did you ever hang from a tree or the playground bars at school when you were young?  I did. Daily. I had the knee and palm blisters to prove it, too!  :)

Ok, so not only is there a new ADORABLE Wryn image, more free frames, plus the introduction to the other new amazing Design Team member, Asa, we are also featuring a handful of special guests and their creations on the {TIDDLY INKS CHALLENGE BLOG}! Seriously, the talent being featured there today will blow you away...  click the links below to show them some bloggy love:

Hunny-Bunny - Easter Card

I've had some darling Penny Black stamps in my possession for quite a while and have only used a couple of them. I don't know what I was waiting for! They are too cute and so much fun to color.  I mostly have Valentine stamps, but one of the images on the "Mimi + Miles" clear stamp set is this little bunny gal:

Tee hee! :)  She's ready for Easter (and just in time, too).  I used the K+Company Raspberry Fizz paper set, the edges inked with distress ink, some buttons and purple grosgrain ribbon from my stash.

I was singing the song "Little Bunny Foo-Foo" while making this card, but I didn't have any sentiments that fit, and my handwriting wasn't cutting it.  The sentiment stamp I used is from Some Odd Girl's "Gwen In Bloom" clear stamp set that I recently won (thanks, Kristy!) and will be inking up soon.

I finished it off by machine-stitching around the outside.  You know... like I've been doing on every card I make these days.  I love the finishing touch.  Even when the needle jams in the middle of sewing a zig-zag up the ribbon....  *sigh*

I had a bunch of challenges in mind while making this card, so I will be linking up to the following fabby sites:

Tee hee!  A tight squeeze just for you!  The smile on the heart is adorable.  I actually colored it and added pink cheeks to the image before I printed it out because I didn't have the right color Copic marker that I wanted to use (time for a re-order I suppose!) but you can definitely color up or paper-piece this big heart in so many ways.

{ANYONE FOR ANYA?} - Color Challenge

Hiya!  It's time for another Sunday challenge at {ANYONE FOR ANYA?}!  This week, our challenge for you is to incorporate the color TEAL into your project. Teal, aqua, turquoise, anything blue-green.  And, be sure to use an image from The Greeting Farm or C. C. Designs.  This week, I used little RUBY from The Greeting Farm:

She makes me smile each time I use her;  something about her sweet little face and fantastic hair.  This time, I paper-pieced her hair, dress and boots.  I only hand-colored her skin with Copics.  Sometimes paper-piecing is faster, sometimes it's not... depends on the image.  For this one, I wanted this exact color for her hair and I knew I didn't have the marker right colors for it, so she got pieced.  Looks pretty cute!

Be sure to check out the {ANYONE FOR ANYA?} challenge blog to see all of our great Design Team members' inspirational projects and to join in!  There's always a great prize to be won.  Good luck!  :) Pin It
